SWANSEA — Joseph Case High School announced the following students as the Top 10 in the Class of 2021:
Caleb Arruda is the son of Michelle Padula Arruda and Stephen Arruda. Actively involved in many activities, Caleb was captain of the varsity winter and spring track teams, throwing shot put and discus. He is also a Student Council representative, stage crew head and manager for the Joseph Case High School Theatre Company, member of the Math Team and National Honor Society. In his free time, Caleb enjoys archery and chess and volunteers at Footlights Community Theatre Company. A recipient of the Brown University Book Award and the Rensselaer Medal, Caleb will be attending Northeastern University with a concentration in bioengineering. Caleb has his sights on working in a hospital conducting research as a physician scientist.
Corine Boyer is the daughter of Melissa and Dann Boyer and will be attending Bridgewater State University this fall. Corine ran winter track, played softball, was a member of the Chess and Games Club, and enjoys drawing during her free time. A recipient of the John and Abigail Adams Scholarship, Corine also earned honor roll recognition every term throughout high school. Corine intends on studying mathematics and secondary education with the intention of teaching math. Corine would like to thank her twin sister, Sydney, for playing a significant role in her success as a student.
